This is the online portfolio of print and surface designer Emily Kalina and EMK DESIGNS.
Kalina began adapting her signature watercolor paintings after working exclusively as a gallery and show artist for 6 years as a basis for developing prints for apparel
and textile designs in 2009. 
She uses a digital layering technique, as well as her paintings, to inform her print and textile designs and finds the creative process expanded by incorporating more modalities.

Kalina derives her inspiration from the natural world, in particular the botanical.
